DAILY RIVER AND LAKE SUMMARY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
1211 PM EST MON JAN 23 2017

...The North Fork Edisto River at Orangeburg was slowly approaching
Flood Stage late this morning...

...Other area rivers were below flood stage this morning...

Minor to moderate stage rises occurred during the past 24 hours
in response to rainfall of the past two days...with additional
24-hour amounts ranging from about one-half inch to an inch
and one-half.

Deep low pressure will finally lift northeast and off the
Mid-Atlantic coast by this evening. This will bring all light
shower activity to an end...and allow drier air to move in as
high pressure from the west builds down over north Florida.

The North Fork Edisto Basin will experience minor flooding
over the next several days...and a warning remains in effect at
Orangeburg. Some additional stage rises are possible during the next
day or so on other area rivers...but no flooding is expected.
or so.
