...HIGH WATER LEVELS CONTINUE IN FAIRBANKS THIS WEEKEND...

PEOPLE RECREATING ON OR NEAR THE CHENA RIVER SHOULD CONTINUE TO
BE PREPARED FOR HIGH WATER. THE CHENA RIVER WILL REMAIN HIGHER
THAN NORMAL THROUGH THE WEEKEND. RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAIN EARLIER
THIS WEEK IS STILL MOVING DOWN THE RIVER. THE CHENA RIVER CRESTED
ON THURSDAY IN FAIRBANKS AND WILL GRADUALLY FALL OVER THE NEXT
SEVERAL DAYS. GROUND WATER LEVELS WILL REMAIN ELEVATED AND SOME
BASEMENTS AND CRAWL SPACES WILL CONTINUE TO EXPERIENCE MINOR
FLOODING.
