...Special River Statement for the Millstone River ...

Runoff from heavy rain early Saturday morning caused significant rises along the
upper reaches of the Millstone River. Specifically, the Millstone River at
Griggstown rose above its 10 foot flood stage early Saturday afternoon. It
appears to be cresting as of Saturday evening, but it will take time for the
water level to drop below flood stage. Causeways across the Millstone River may
be closed due to high water. Do not go around barricades.

While significant rises also occurred further downstream along the Millstone
River, no flooding problems are anticipated at this time.

For the Millstone River at Blackwells Mills, the latest stage was 6.5 feet at 5
PM Saturday. The forecast is for a stage of 6.6 feet at 8 PM Saturday.Causeways
across the Millstone River may be closed due to high water. Do not go around
barricades.
