COLORADO AVALANCHE INFORMATION CENTER.

THE COLORADO AVALANCHE INFORMATION CENTER HAS ISSUED A SPECIAL
AVALANCHE ADVISORY

* TIMING...IN EFFECT UNTIL TO 12:00 AM MST MONDAY

* AFFECTED AREA...THE FRONT RANGE...TEN MILE RANGE...GORE
  RANGE...VAIL...THE ELK MOUNTAINS...HARDSCRABBLE
  MOUNTAINS...ASPEN...GUNNISON...WEST ELK MOUNTAINS...SAWATCH
  RANGE...MOSQUITO RANGE...GRAND MESA...AND SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS.

* AVALANCHE DANGER...EXPECT THE AVALANCHE DANGER FOR THE ADVISORY
  AREA TO INCREASE THROUGH THE WEEKEND. AVALANCHE CONDITIONS WILL
  BECOME DANGEROUS. TRIGGERING AVALANCHES WILL BE LIKELY.

* REASON...A LARGE WINTER STORM WILL IMPACT THE AREA. MODERATE TO
  HEAVY SNOWFALL AND STRONG WINDS ARE LIKELY. THIS SNOW WILL FALL ON
  AN ALREADY WEAK SNOWPACK.

* PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...WATCH FOR RAPIDLY CHANGING
  CONDITIONS AND INCREASING AVALANCHE DANGER.
