The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Coastal waters from Cape Fear NC to Little River Inlet SC out 20
  nm...
  Coastal waters from Little River Inlet to Murrells Inlet SC out 20
  nm...

* Until 815 PM EDT.

* At 728 PM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near North Myrtle Beach to 8 nm northwest of
  Surfside Beach, moving southeast at 40 knots.

  HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots and small hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
           suddenly higher waves.

* Strong thunderstorms will be near...
  Little River Reef, Little River Entrance, Little River Sea Buoy,
  North Myrtle Beach, Myrtle Beach, Springmaid Pier, and Cherry
  Grove Beach around 735 PM EDT.
  Sherman Wreck and Myrtle Beach Rock around 740 PM EDT.
  Little River Offshore Reef around 750 PM EDT.
  A R 445 and Jungle around 800 PM EDT.

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
If caught on the open water, prepare for deteriorating conditions.
