...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT SOUTHERN RANKIN...NORTHERN
SIMPSON...NORTHERN SMITH AND SOUTHWESTERN SCOTT COUNTIES UNTIL 545 PM
CDT...

At 500 PM CDT, Meteorologists were tracking strong thunderstorms
along a line extending from Burns to near White Oak to near
Mendenhall. Movement was northwest at 20 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with these storms.

Strong thunderstorms will be near...
  Mendenhall around 505 PM CDT.
  Piney Woods, Johns, Harrisville and Cato around 525 PM CDT.
  Pulaski around 530 PM CDT.
  Star around 535 PM CDT.
  Florence, Whites and Monterey around 545 PM CDT.

Other locations impacted by these storms include Polkville, D`Lo,
Braxton and Puckett.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

High winds can bring down trees and large limbs resulting in serious
injury or property damage. Exercise extreme caution when outdoors
during such strong winds...and be especially aware of older trees.
