...HEAVY RAINFALL TO CONTINUE EARLY THIS MORNING OVER THE SOUTHERN
AND CENTRAL OUTER BANKS...

AN AREA OF SLOW-MOVING MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN...WITH SOME EMBEDDED
THUNDERSTORMS...WILL AFFECT THE OUTER BANKS...GENERALLY SOUTH OF
OREGON INLET THROUGH 7 AM. RADAR ESTIMATES ONE TO ONE AND A HALF
INCHES OF RAIN HAS ALREADY FALLEN IN THIS AREA...WITH THE
POSSIBILITY OF AN ADDITIONAL 2 TO 3 INCHES.

MOTORISTS SHOULD BE ALERT FOR PONDING OF WATER OR STANDING WATER ON
ROADWAYS...ESPECIALLY HIGHWAY 12 EARLY THIS MORNING.
