.Overview...Thunderstorms developed in the afternoon hours on Sunday, January 15th.
A long tracked supercell thunderstorm was responsible for at least 4 tornadoes. There may be
more tornadoes, as additional damage still needs to be investigated. The four confirmed tornadoes
are in Coryell County, Bosque County, Hill County, and Tarrant County. The fifth likely
tornado was in Limestone County.

The Limestone County damage, and several others, including damage in Dallas County will be
investigated Tuesday, with surveys continuing Wednesday if necessary.

The National Weather Service survey crews determined an EF-0 tornado occurred in just east of the
Dallas County line in Grand Prairie. Several residences had minor roof and fence damage. Wind damage
confirmed at areas between State Highway 360 and State Highway 161.

Survey_Summary: This tornado was photographed and reported by various fire departments
in Coryell County. This tornado damaged a few houses in the Coryell City area, along County
Road 273 and County Road 262. The debris field extended to the north and northwest, where
several power poles were broken. The tornado continued over ranch land of Coryell and Bosque
Counties before dissipating near Mosheim. Several farm buildings were destroyed near Mosheim,
producing damage consistent with EF-0 type winds.

This damage path will be investigated further in the next few days.

Survey_Summary: The Clifton tornado began on the south side of town, just off
of 23rd street, where several trees were uprooted and several homes suffered roof
damage. This tornado produced a narrow path of damage to the north side of town,
before dissipating. Approximately 20-30 homes suffered some sort of damage, either
roof damage from the tornado, or from tree or other debris hitting the houses.

Survey_Summary: The tornado that affected portions near Lake Whitney started on the
far eastern side of Bosque County, near Laguna Park. The tornado then crossed over
Lake Whitney before damaging several homes on the east side of the lake in far
western Hill County. The heaviest damage was concentrated in Hill County, along both
sides of Farm to Market Road 1713 near Hill County Road 1236. Numerous homes were
damaged by the tornado, as were a church, and a marina. Most homes in this area
suffered roof and shingle damage, with at least ten homes suffering major damage.

Survey_Summary: Storm Spotters and airport observers reported a tornado
near the Grand Prairie airport. Wind damage occurred to the west of the
tornado track, resulting in damage to one hangar and several businesses
in the vicinity.

EF Scale: The Enhanced Fujita Scale classifies tornadoes into
the following categories.

EF0...Weak......65 TO 85 mph
EF1...Weak......86 TO 110 mph
EF2...Strong....111 TO 135 mph
EF3...Strong....136 TO 165 mph
EF4...Violent...166 TO 200mph
