...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR NORTHWESTERN YOUNG COUNTY UNTIL
1000 PM CDT...

At 902 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Elbert, or 11 miles northeast of Throckmorton, moving southeast at 5
mph.

Nickel size hail will be possible with this storm.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern Young
County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead
to minor flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Seek
a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so closely monitor for additional
information or possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
