The National Weather Service in Hastings has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern Greeley County in central Nebraska...
  Nance County in central Nebraska...
  Northeastern Howard County in central Nebraska...

* Until 930 PM CDT Wednesday

* As of 945 AM CDT Wednesday, Doppler radar and several rain gauge
  reports indicated that much of the warned area had received at
  least 2 to 4 inches of rain since late Tuesday afternoon, with
  locally higher amounts of 5 to 7 inches. These highest amounts
  mainly concentrated within Nance County.

* Although most of the warning area is expected to see only one-
  quarter inch or less of additional rain through the rest of today,
  with dry weather expected overnight and Thursday, fairly extensive
  flooding of local creeks, streams, low-lying areas and some rural
  roads will likely continue into at least this evening as water
  gradually subsides.

Some creeks and rivers likely to experience some degree of flooding
include, but are not limited to...Beaver Creek...Cottonwood
Creek...Timber Creek...Spring Creek...

At this time, impactful flooding is not anticipated along the Loup
River and Cedar River, but this will need monitored.

Please note, this areal Flood Warning replaces a previously issued
warning for Nance County that was in effect until 11 AM CDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
