THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR SOUTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA AND
PORTIONS OF NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO SPREAD ACROSS THE LOCAL AREA
OVERNIGHT. ALTHOUGH WIDESPREAD SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY IS
NOT ANTICIPATED...AT LEAST A FEW STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS ARE
POSSIBLE MAINLY LATE THIS EVENING...WITH THE MAIN THREATS BEING
HAIL UP TO AROUND QUARTER SIZE AND WIND GUSTS UP TO AROUND 60 MPH.

IN ADDITION...HEAVY RAIN AND FLASH FLOODING WILL BE POSSIBLE LATE
TONIGHT INTO EARLY WEDNESDAY. A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT
THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING FOR AREAS MOST SUSCEPTIBLE TO FLASH
FLOODING...THOSE LOCATIONS THAT HAVE SEEN HEAVY RAINFALL OVER THE
PAST FEW DAYS...PRIMARILY FOR GRAND ISLAND...HASTINGS AND POINTS
TO THE NORTH AND EAST.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

IN AN ACTIVE WEATHER PATTERN...THUNDERSTORMS ARE FORECAST EACH DAY
THROUGH FRIDAY NIGHT.  THE STORMS WILL BE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING
SIGNIFICANT RAINFALL AMOUNTS IN EXCESS OF TWO INCHES...WHICH MAY
LEAD TO AREAS OF FLOODING.  STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS ARE ALSO
POSSIBLE WHICH MAY PRODUCE HAIL TO THE SIZE OF PING PONG BALLS AND
DAMAGING WINDS OF 60 MPH.  THE FORECAST DRIES OUT FOR MUCH OF THE
WEEKEND...BEFORE CHANCES FOR THUNDERSTORMS RETURN AROUND THE
LABOR DAY TIME FRAME.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION FOR LOCALIZED SEVERE STORMS MAY BE NEEDED ON A
LIMITED BASIS MAINLY DURING THE EVENING HOURS. IN ADDITION...ANY
REPORTS OF FLOODING OR HEAVY RAINFALL IN EXCESS OF 2 INCHES WOULD
BE APPRECIATED.
