330 AM CST SUN JAN 22 2017

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS AND SOUTH
CENTRAL NEBRASKA EXCEPT HALL...HAMILTON..AND MERRICK COUNTIES.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.

FROM TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY...A STRONG LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL
TRACK THROUGH THE CENTRAL PLAINS. HOWEVER...BECAUSE THERE REMAINS
KEY DIFFERENCES BETWEEN COMPUTER MODEL FORECASTS...CONFIDENCE IS
STILL BELOW AVERAGE REGARDING SNOWFALL POTENTIAL. AT THIS TIME...THE
MOST FAVORED SCENARIO IS FOR THIS TO BE A FAIRLY MINOR SNOW
EVENT...WITH NO MORE THAN 1 TO 2 INCHES EXPECTED...AND THE HIGHEST
AMOUNTS FAVORING COUNTIES NEAR AND NORTH OF INTERSTATE 80 IN
NEBRASKA. THAT BEING SAID...THERE IS STILL A SMALL CHANCE THAT THIS
COULD TURN INTO A SOMEWHAT BIGGER SNOW MAKER THAN CURRENTLY
EXPECTED...SO PLEASE KEEP UP TO DATE WITH FORECASTS OVER THE NEXT
FEW DAYS...AS NOTICEABLE CHANGES CANNOT BE RULED OUT.

ALTHOUGH CONFIDENCE IS STILL A LITTLE SHAKY ON SNOW AMOUNTS...IT
REMAINS LIKELY THAT THIS SYSTEM WILL PRODUCE FAIRLY STRONG NORTHWEST
WINDS ESPECIALLY TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING...WITH
FREQUENT GUSTS OF AT LEAST 30 MPH.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL NOT BE NEEDED THROUGH TONIGHT.
