This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Severe thunderstorms are possible this evening and tonight across
much of the outlook area. However the greatest risk of severe
weather will be between 6 PM and 10 pm...especially west of a
line from Lexington, Nebraska to Osborne, Kansas where a Severe
Thunderstorm Watch is in effect. The main threats will be
localized damage from wind gusts around 60 mph...and hail up to
the size of ping pong balls.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Thunderstorms are expected to spread across the local area Friday
night through Saturday. A few severe storms with wind gusts to
around 60 MPH or higher, and perhaps hail to around quarter size,
appear to be the main threats with any severe storms that develop
Friday night and early Saturday morning.

Additional chances for thunderstorms are expected across the
local area late Monday night through Wednesday of next week.


Spotters...activation may be needed mainly west of a line from
Lexington, Nebraska to Osborne, Kansas this evening.
