THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR SOUTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA AND
PORTIONS OF NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

THROUGH THE DAYTIME HOURS...AT LEAST ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM
DEVELOPMENT IS POSSIBLE WITHIN SOUTHERN PORTIONS OF THE OUTLOOK
AREA...PRIMARILY WITHIN NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS AND THE ADJACENT
BORDERING COUNTIES OF FAR SOUTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA. THIS EVENING AND
TONIGHT...SMALL CHANCES FOR THUNDERSTORMS EXPAND NORTHWARD TO
INCLUDE ALL PORTIONS OF THE OUTLOOK AREA GENERALLY NEAR AND SOUTH
OF INTERSTATE 80.

ALTHOUGH SEVERE STORMS ARE NOT CURRENTLY EXPECTED...A FEW STRONG
STORMS ARE NOT OUT OF THE QUESTION THIS AFTERNOON INTO
TONIGHT...MAINLY NEAR AND SOUTH OF THE NEBRASKA-KANSAS BORDER.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY.

THERE ARE SEVERAL CHANCES FOR THUNDERSTORMS WITHIN THE OUTLOOK AREA
THROUGHOUT THE MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY TIME FRAME.

ALTHOUGH A FEW STRONGER STORMS CANNOT BE RULED OUT...THE RISK FOR
SEVERE STORMS APPEARS RATHER LOW THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT. BETTER
POTENTIAL LOOKS TO COME LATE TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH TUESDAY
NIGHT...WITH THE ENTIRE AREA HAVING A MARGINAL RISK FOR SEVERE
WEATHER. LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WIND GUSTS WOULD BE THE PRIMARY
HAZARDS.

WEDNESDAY AND BEYOND...IT IS STILL TOO EARLY TO CONFIDENTLY ASSESS
THE POTENTIAL FOR SEVERE STORMS. PLEASE NOTE THAT THUNDERSTORM
PREDICTABILITY IN THIS SUMMER WEATHER PATTERN CARRIES LOWER THAN
AVERAGE CONFIDENCE...MEANING THAT STORM CHANCES COULD INCREASE OR
DECREASE WITH FAIRLY SHORT NOTICE...SO BE SURE TO STAY UP TO DATE
WITH THE LATEST FORECASTS.

ALTHOUGH THE UPCOMING WEEK WILL NOT BE AS HOT...HEAT INDEX VALUES
WITHIN NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS COULD STILL REACH OR SLIGHTLY EXCEED
100 DEGREES ON TUESDAY AFTERNOON.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION IS NOT ANTICIPATED THROUGH TONIGHT...BUT ANY
REPORTS OF POSSIBLE HAIL OR STRONG WINDS WITHIN SOUTHERN PORTIONS
OF THE OUTLOOK AREA WOULD BE APPRECIATED.
