845 AM CDT SAT MAY 28 2016

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR SOUTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA AND
PORTIONS OF NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

THROUGH MUCH OF THE DAY...FLOODING OF MAINLY SMALL CREEKS...LOW-
LYING AREAS AND POSSIBLY RURAL ROADS REMAINS LIKELY IN VARIOUS
PORTIONS OF THE OUTLOOK AREA...DUE TO HEAVY RAIN OVER THE PAST FEW
DAYS. COUNTIES MOST LIKELY TO EXPERIENCE LINGERING FLOODING ISSUES
INCLUDE THAYER...FILLMORE...FURNAS...GOSPER AND HARLAN. ALTHOUGH
GROUND-TRUTH REPORTS ARE CURRENTLY LIMITED FROM OTHER AREAS...IT
SEEMS POSSIBLE THAT LOCALIZED...MINOR FLOODING COULD ALSO OCCUR
IN COUNTIES SUCH AS POLK NEBRASKA...AND MITCHELL KANSAS.

THIS AFTERNOON...AT LEAST ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY IS
POSSIBLE...PRIMARILY NORTHEAST OF A LINE FROM KEARNEY NEBRASKA TO
BELOIT KANSAS. HOWEVER...FOR THE FIRST TIME IN DAYS...SEVERE
STORMS ARE NOT EXPECTED.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.

SUNDAY AND SUNDAY NIGHT...CHANCES FOR THUNDERSTORMS REMAIN IN THE
FORECAST ACROSS THE OUTLOOK AREA...THOUGH THERE IS PLENTY OF
UNCERTAINTY WITH THE AREAL COVERAGE OF ACTIVITY. THERE WILL BE THE
POTENTIAL FOR SOME THUNDERSTORMS TO BE STRONG...WITH SMALL HAIL AND
GUSTY WINDS.

MEMORIAL DAY AFTERNOON THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT HOURS WILL BRING THE
BEST CHANCES FOR THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE OUTLOOK AREA. THERE WILL
BE THE POTENTIAL FOR SOME TO BE SEVERE...MAINLY FOR LOCATIONS WEST
OF HIGHWAY 281. HAIL NEAR THE SIZE OF QUARTERS AND WIND GUSTS NEAR
60 MPH WOULD BE THE PRIMARY HAZARDS.

LINGERING THUNDERSTORM CHANCES CONTINUE INTO TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY.
AT THIS TIME...IT IS TOO EARLY TO CONFIDENTLY ASSESS THE POTENTIAL
FOR STRONG TO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION IS NOT EXPECTED TODAY AND TONIGHT...BUT ANY
REPORTS OF IMPACTFUL FLOODING WOULD BE APPRECIATED.
