This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Heat index values will approach 100 degrees this afternoon for
areas along and south of a line from Geneva, Nebraska, to
Phillipsburg, Kansas.

Thunderstorms are possible for most of the outlook area this
afternoon and evening. Some of these storms may be severe. Hail
around the size of golf balls and wind gusts around 60 mph will be
the main threats. The greatest threat for severe thunderstorms
will be along and east of Highway 281.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

There is a slight chance for spotty thunderstorm activity for parts
of the area Tuesday through Thursday. While strong or severe storms
could occur...confidence is not sufficient to determine any specific
threats at this time.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed between 4 pm and 10 pm this
afternoon and evening.
