THE LARGE SHIELD OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WHICH HAS LINGERED
OVER NORTH CENTRAL KANSAS THE PAST SEVERAL HOURS WILL CONTINUE A
SLOW DECLINE THROUGH 4 AM. MOST OF THE RAIN WILL BE EAST OF
HIGHWAY 281...AND CENTERED ACROSS JEWELL AND MITCHELL COUNTIES.
ADDITIONAL RAINFALL OF ONE QUARTER TO ONE HALF INCH IS POSSIBLE IN
THAT AREA. RAINFALL WAS WIDESPREAD ACROSS ROOKS AND OSBORNE
COUNTIES EARLIER...WITH RADAR RAINFALL ESTIMATES SUGGESTING 2-3
INCHES OF RAIN FELL ALONG HIGHWAY 24...AND ALSO IN SOUTHWEST ROOKS
COUNTY. THERE IS AN OUTSIDE SHOT OF SHOWERS AND A FEW
THUNDERSTORMS IN SOUTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA MOVING SOUTH INTO THE AREA
AROUND SUNRISE.
