The National Weather Service in Columbia has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southeastern Lancaster County in central South Carolina...
  Chesterfield County in central South Carolina...
  Northeastern Kershaw County in central South Carolina...

* Until 615 PM EDT.

* At 517 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Heath
  Springs, or 11 miles southeast of Lancaster, moving southeast at 35
  mph.

  HAZARD...Two inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Trained weather spotter reports 2 inch hail observed in
           the city of Lancaster.

  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
           wind damage to trees and powerlines.

* Locations impacted include...
  Cheraw, Pageland, Kershaw, Chesterfield, Heath Springs, Cheraw
  State Park, Northeastern Technical College, Carolina Sandhills
  Wildlife Refuge, Mt Pisgah, Cheraw Municipal Airport, Mcbee,
  Jefferson, Ruby, Patrick, Bethune, Chesterfield Ruby Middle School,
  Cheraw Fish Hatchery, Middendorf, Central High School, and High
  Point Fire Station.
