542 WWUS20 KWNS 280557 SEL7 SPC WW 280557 TXZ000-281200- URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Tornado Watch Number 157 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 100 AM CDT Sun Apr 28 2024 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Tornado Watch for portions of North and central Texas * Effective this Sunday morning from 100 AM until 700 AM CDT. * Primary threats include... A couple tornadoes possible Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely Scattered large hail events to 1 inch in diameter possible SUMMARY...A squall line will continue to move eastward through the early morning hours with the potential to produce occasional damaging winds of 60-70 mph and isolated large hail to 1 inch diameter. A couple of tornadoes may also occur with embedded circulations, or with isolated cells merging into the line. The tornado watch area is approximately along and 60 statute miles east and west of a line from 30 miles east northeast of Sherman TX to 55 miles west of Temple TX.
