...AVALANCHE WARNING TERMINATION FOR NORTHERN SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS
ON WEDNESDAY...

SIGNIFICANT NEW SNOW WITH VERY STRONG NORTHWEST WINDS CREATED
DANGEROUS AVALANCHE CONDITIONS IN THE BACKCOUNTRY OF THE NORTHERN
SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS. BACKCOUNTRY TRAVEL INTO OR BELOW AVALANCHE
TERRAIN IS NOT RECOMMENDED. THE WARNING EXPIRES BECAUSE THE
POTENTIAL FOR NATURAL AVALANCHES IS DECREASING. HUMAN TRIGGERED
AVALANCHES REMAIN LIKELY AND WILL BE LARGE AND DANGEROUS.
