...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of Whiteside, Carroll,
northwestern Bureau, southeastern Jo Daviess, Stephenson,
northeastern Henry and southeastern Jackson Counties through 645 AM
CDT
...

At 610 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Stockton to near Chadwick to near Tampico.
Movement was northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Strong winds could break small tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Freeport, Sterling, Rock Falls, Morrison, Mount Carroll, Savanna,
Lena, Prophetstown, Stockton, Lanark, Milledgeville, Fairhaven, Pearl
City, Tampico, Shannon, Cedarville, Davis, Lyndon, Chadwick, and
Dakota.

This includes Interstate 88 between mile markers 25 and 44.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring and may lead to localized flooding.
Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
