FOR SOUTHERN CATOOSA...WHITFIELD...WALKER AND SOUTHWESTERN DADE
COUNTIES...

At 627 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Dawnville to near Hammondville, moving southeast
at 40 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Dalton, Lafayette, Varnell, Tunnel Hill, La Fayette, Naomi, Center
Post, Rising Fawn, Suttles Mill, Noble, Wood Station, Rocky Face,
Tilton, Mill Creek, Linwood, Beaumont, Beaverdale, Dawnville,
Villanow, and Cloudland Canyon State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 AM EDT for northwestern
Georgia. A Tornado Watch also remains in effect until 100 PM EDT for
northwestern Georgia.

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
