915 PM MDT FOR SOUTHERN GRAND COUNTY...

AT 751 PM MDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN DUE TO
THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE EASTERN PORTIONS OF ARCHES NATIONAL PARK
EARLIER THIS EVENING WITH RADAR ESTIMATES OF UP TO ONE INCH. THIS
WILL CAUSE ARROYO AND SMALL STREAM FLOODING IN THE ADVISORY AREA
OVER DELICATE ARCH AND THE ROAD LEADING UP TO THE TRAILHEAD.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
ARCHES NATIONAL PARK.

THIS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING STREAMS AND DRAINAGES...CASTLE CREEK...
PLACER CREEK...COLORADO RIVER...SAGERS WASH...SALT WASH AND MILL
CREEK.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS
SAFELY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT. IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW WHERE
YOU ARE RELATIVE TO STREAMS...RIVERS...OR CREEKS WHICH CAN BECOME
KILLERS IN HEAVY RAINS. CAMPERS AND HIKERS SHOULD AVOID STREAMS OR
CREEKS.
