THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GRAND JUNCTION  HAS ISSUED A

* SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  SOUTHEASTERN UINTAH COUNTY IN NORTHEASTERN UTAH...

* UNTIL 515 PM MDT

* AT 220 PM MDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN DUE TO
  THUNDERSTORMS. THIS WILL CAUSE SMALL STREAM FLOODING IN THE
  ADVISORY AREA. UP TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN HAVE ALREADY FALLEN.

* FLOODING WILL REMAIN OVER MAINLY RURAL AREAS OF SOUTHEASTERN
  UINTAH COUNTY. TWO WATERS CREEK...WEST ASPHALT CANYON AND
  EVACUATION CREEK WILL EXPERIENCE RAPID RISES IN LEVEL OVER THE
  NEXT 1 TO 2 HOURS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...COUNTRY ROADS...FARMLAND...AND OTHER LOW LYING
SPOTS.

FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT. IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW WHERE
YOU ARE RELATIVE TO STREAMS...RIVERS...OR CREEKS WHICH CAN BECOME
KILLERS IN HEAVY RAINS. CAMPERS AND HIKERS SHOULD AVOID STREAMS OR
CREEKS.

PLEASE REPORT FLOODING TO YOUR LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY WHEN YOU
CAN DO SO SAFELY.
