The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a

* Small Stream Flood Advisory for Rapid Rises for...
  South central Grand County in east central Utah...

* Until 930 PM MDT

* At 624 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding in the
  advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Arches National Park.

This includes the following highways...
 U.S. Highway 191 in Utah between mile markers 129 and 131.
 Utah 128 between mile markers 2 and 5, and between mile markers 8
 and 13.
 Utah 279 near mile marker 15.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, and other low lying spots.
Campers and hikers should avoid streams or creeks.

Please report flooding to the Grand Junction National Weather Service
Office when you can do so safely.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
