The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a

* Arroyo and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
  Northern San Juan County in southeastern Utah...
  South central Grand County in east central Utah...

* Until 1000 PM MDT

* At 654 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding in
  the advisory area. Radar estimates 0.5 to 1 inch of rain has
  fallen with 1 to 2 inch per hour rainfall rates.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Moab, Castle Valley and Arches National Park.

This includes the following highways...
 U.S. Highway 191 in Utah between mile markers 121 and 129.
 Utah 128 between mile markers 0 and 12.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain.
Arroyos, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a
matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.

Please report flooding to the Grand Junction National Weather Service
Office when you can do so safely.
