THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GRAND JUNCTION  HAS ISSUED A

* SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  EAST CENTRAL HINSDALE COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST COLORADO...

* UNTIL 430 PM MDT

* AT 235 PM MDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN
  FALLING OVER THE PAPOOSE BURN SCAR. THIS MAY CAUSE SMALL STREAM
  FLOODING IN THE AREA AREA. UP TO A HALF OF AN INCH OF RAIN MAY
  HAVE ALREADY FALLEN ON THE BURN SCAR NORTH OF THE LITTLE SQUAW
  VALLEY...AND ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS ARE MOVING INTO THE AREA.

THE PAPOOSE BURN SCAR IS THE MOST LIKELY PLACE TO EXPERIENCE MINOR
FLOODING.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD ADVISORY MEANS RIVER OR STREAM FLOWS ARE ELEVATED...OR
PONDING OF WATER IN URBAN OR OTHER AREAS IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TRAVEL ACROSS FLOODED ROADS. FIND ALTERNATE ROUTES.
IT TAKES ONLY A FEW INCHES OF SWIFTLY FLOWING WATER TO CARRY VEHICLES
AWAY.
