The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
  Southeastern Routt County in northwestern Colorado...

* Until 800 PM MDT

* At 453 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in
  the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Oak Creek, Yampa and Phippsburg.

This includes the following highways...
 U.S. Highway 40 in Colorado between mile markers 138 and 148.
 Colorado 131 between mile markers 35 and 67.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.
