...THE URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL
915 PM MDT FOR NORTHWESTERN MESA AND EAST CENTRAL GRAND COUNTIES...

AT 711 PM MDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN DUE TO
THUNDERSTORMS. THIS WILL CAUSE URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOODING IN
THE ADVISORY AREA. UP TO ONE INCH OF RAIN HAS ALREADY FALLEN.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
GRAND JUNCTION...FRUITA...LOMA...MACK...GLADE PARK...REDLANDS...
ORCHARD MESA...FRUITVALE AND CLIFTON...AS WELL AS INTERSTATE 70 FROM
NEAR THE COLORADO AND UTAH BORDER TO CLIFTON.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE ELEVATED LEVELS ON
SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...AND PONDING OF WATER IN URBAN AREAS...
HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER POOR DRAINAGE
AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.
