THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GRAND JUNCTION  HAS EXTENDED THE

* FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  RAIN AND MELTING SNOW IN...
  SOUTHEASTERN ROUTT COUNTY IN NORTHWESTERN COLORADO...

* UNTIL 515 PM MDT

* AT 1120 AM MDT...THE COMBINATION OF RAINFALL OVER THE LAST WEEK
  AND CONTINUED SNOW MELT HAS KEPT THE UPPER YAMPA RIVER AND
  TRIBUTARY FLOWS AT BANKFULL.  THIS INCREASE WILL CONTINUE TO CAUSE
  MINOR FLOODING IN THE ADVISED AREA.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  OAK CREEK...YAMPA AND PHIPPSBURG.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD ADVISORY MEANS RIVER OR STREAM FLOWS ARE ELEVATED...OR
PONDING OF WATER IN URBAN OR OTHER AREAS IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TRAVEL ACROSS FLOODED ROADS. FIND ALTERNATE ROUTES.
IT TAKES ONLY A FEW INCHES OF SWIFTLY FLOWING WATER TO CARRY VEHICLES
AWAY.
