The National Weather Service in Grand Junction  has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
  South central San Juan County in southeastern Utah...

* Until 1045 PM MDT

* At 747 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms moving slowly northwest at 10 mph. This will cause
  minor flooding, generally in rural areas west of Mexican Hate.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Goulding, Halchita and Oljeto.

This includes U.S. Highway 163 in Utah between mile markers 1 and 17.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, and other low lying spots.

Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain.
Arroyos, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a
matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
