The gusty west winds will drop off early this evening, but will pick up again by noon Thursday. A dry airmass moves into the region and, combined with the gusty afternoon winds tomorrow through Saturday, will produce near critical fire weather conditions for much of eastern Utah and southwestern Colorado on these days.
