THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF NORTHWEST
COLORADO...SOUTHWEST COLORADO...WEST CENTRAL COLORADO...EAST
CENTRAL UTAH...NORTHEAST UTAH AND SOUTHEAST UTAH.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

SNOW CHANCES FOR THE MOUNTAINS AND A MIX OF SNOW AND RAIN FOR
THE VALLEYS WILL INCREASE THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING... AHEAD OF
A DEVELOPING STORM SYSTEM. SIGNIFICANT TRAVEL HAZARDS ARE EXPECTED
PRIMARILY THROUGH MOUNTAIN PASSES. WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES AND
WINTER STORM WARNINGS ARE NOW IN EFFECT.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

ACTIVE WEATHER WILL CONTINUE THROUGH FRIDAY AND DECREASE INTO
SATURDAY MORNING. MAIN UPPER LEVEL STORM SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO
TRAVERSE THE SOUTHERN HALF OF THE AREA ON SATURDAY... FOCUSING THE
MAIN IMPACTS ON THAT AREA. AFTER A BREAK SATURDAY EVENING...SNOW
IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP SOUTH TO NORTH BEGINNING SUNDAY AND
CONTINUING THROUGH MONDAY EVENING. DRIER WEATHER IS EXPECTED
AROUND MIDWEEK TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY

SPOTTER ACTIVATION WILL NOT BE NEEDED BUT SPOTTERS ARE ENCOURAGED
TO REPORT SNOWFALL AMOUNTS TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN
GRAND JUNCTION.
