THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GRAND JUNCTION HAS ISSUED A WIND
ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM TO 10 PM MDT TUESDAY.

* TIMING...AN APPROACHING PACIFIC STORM WILL CAUSE STRONG
  SOUTHWEST WINDS FROM MID-AFTERNOON TUESDAY THROUGH LATE TUESDAY
  EVENING. THE STRONGEST WIND GUSTS SHOULD OCCUR AROUND AND A FEW
  HOURS AFTER SUNSET...AND NEAR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS.

* WINDS...SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL INCREASE BY NOON AND BECOME STRONG
  IN THE LATE AFTERNOON THROUGH LATE TUESDAY EVENING. EXPECT
  SOUTHWEST WINDS OF 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS OF 40 TO 50 MPH.
  ISOLATED STRONGER GUSTS ARE POSSIBLE NEAR SHOWERS OR
  THUNDERSTORMS.

* IMPACTS...SIGNIFICANT BLOWING DUST WILL REDUCE VISIBILITIES AND
  DEPOSIT ANOTHER LAYER OF DUST ON SNOW. THE STRONG WINDS WILL
  ESPECIALLY AFFECT TRAVEL FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES.

PEOPLE...ESPECIALLY THOSE WITH RESPIRATORY ILLNESSES... HEART
DISEASE...THE ELDERLY...AND CHILDREN ARE RECOMMENDED TO STAY
INDOORS AND AVOID PROLONGED OUTDOOR EXERCISE OR HEAVY EXERTION
DUE TO WIND-BLOWN DUST.
