MORNING...

The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a
Freeze Watch, which is in effect from late tonight through
Saturday morning.

* LOCATIONS INCLUDE...Montrose, Hotchkiss, Delta, Gateway, Nucla,
   Cortez, Dove Creek, and Mancos.

* TEMPERATURES...Upper 20s to lower 30s.

* TIMING...Temperatures will remain near freezing until 1 to 2
  hours after sunrise. Temperatures may approach freezing again
  during the early morning hours Saturday morning and will reach
  their coldest shortly before sunrise.

* IMPACTS...Budding vegetation and sensitive plants will be
  negatively impacted as temperatures drop below critical
  thresholds. Small, exposed water lines, such as those associated
  with swamp coolers, may freeze.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Freeze Warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or
highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other
sensitive vegetation.

A Freeze Watch means sub-freezing temperatures are possible.
These conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
