...SNOWFALL OVER THE EASTERN UTAH AND WESTERN COLORADO MOUNTAINS...

THE LATEST STORM SYSTEM TO IMPACT EASTERN UTAH AND WESTERN COLORADO
CONTINUED TO PRODUCE SNOW OVER MANY MOUNTAIN LOCATIONS THIS MORNING,
WITH MANY WINTER WEATHER WARNINGS AND ADVISORIES IN PLACE THROUGH
THE DAY.  SNOW BEGAN FALLING OVER THE MOUNTAINS ON SUNDAY, MAINLY
AFTER THE PASSAGE OF THE STORM SYSTEMS COLD FRONT.  AS OF 4 AM
MONDAY MORNING, AUTOMATED SENSORS (ALL AT ELEVATIONS ABOVE 8200
FEET) INDICATED THE FOLLOWING ESTIMATED SNOW ACCUMULATIONS:

SOUTHWEST COLORADO MOUNTAINS...4 TO 10 INCHES, WITH UP TO 15 INCHES
IN THE VICINITY OF THE BEARTOWN SENSOR.

WEST CENTRAL COLORADO MOUNTAINS...2 TO 8 INCHES, WITH UP TO 12
INCHES ON SCHOFIELD PASS.

NORTHWEST COLORADO MOUNTAINS...3 TO 10 INCHES.

EASTERN UTAH MOUNTAINS...GENERALLY 2 TO 6 INCHES, WITH NEAR 18
INCHES IN THE VICINITY OF LA SAL MOUNTAIN.


THE FOLLOWING ARE PRELIMINARY 24 HOUR PRECIPITATION REPORTS FROM
WESTERN COLORADO AND EASTERN UTAH, ENDING AROUND 7 AM MONDAY. THE
FIRST VALUE IS RAINFALL OR WATER AMOUNTS IN SNOW, AND THE SECOND
VALUE IS SNOWFALL, WHEN APPROPRIATE. AMOUNTS ARE IN INCHES.
