Snow began falling over the mountains of eastern Utah and
western Colorado Monday afternoon, impacting mainly the central
and southern areas of western Colorado. Snow ended as the
system moved out to the east Tuesday afternoon and night.
Following are reported snowfall amounts from the storm system.
The reports are preliminary, and some may be partial reports,
not 48 hour storm totals.

Estimated storm total snowfall amounts across the mountains
of western Colorado are as follows:

Central mountains:
     Gore and Elk Mtns.............up to 6 inches,
                                   with 9 inches at Ivanhoe.
     West Elk and Sawatch Mtns.....up to 6 inches.

Southern mountains:
     Western San Juan Mtns.........3 to 7 inches,
                                   with 12 inches at Weminuche,
                                   and 9 inches at Vallecito.
