* AFFECTED AREA...IN COLORADO...FIRE WEATHER ZONE 290 PARADOX
  VALLEY FORECAST AREA...FIRE WEATHER ZONE 291 NORTHERN SAN JUAN
  FORECAST AREA...FIRE WEATHER ZONE 292 NORTH FORK FORECAST AREA
  AND FIRE WEATHER ZONE 293 GUNNISON BASIN FORECAST AREA.

* THUNDERSTORMS...HIGH BASED THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP OVER
  HIGHER TERRAIN THIS AFTERNOON AND MOVE OVER VALLEYS EARLY THIS
  EVENING. FREQUENT DRY LIGHTNING IS EXPECTED AS WELL AS GUSTY
  OUTFLOW WINDS.

* OUTFLOW WINDS...ERRATIC GUSTS OF 30 TO 40 MPH NEAR ANY STORMS.

* IMPACTS...THE COMBINATION OF DRY LIGHTNING...LOW HUMIDITY...
  AND GUSTY OUTFLOW WINDS AFTER AN EXTENDED DRY PERIOD WILL
  INCREASE THE LIKELIHOOD OF WILDFIRE STARTS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A RED FLAG WARNING MEANS THAT CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS
ARE EITHER OCCURRING NOW...OR WILL SHORTLY. A COMBINATION OF
STRONG WINDS...LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY...AND WARM TEMPERATURES CAN
CONTRIBUTE TO EXTREME FIRE BEHAVIOR.
