FOR EASTERN UTAH AND WESTERN COLORADO, HERE IS THE LATEST WEATHER
SYNOPSIS.

MONSOON MOISTURE CONTINUES TO FEED INTO THE FORECAST AREA FROM THE
SOUTH, CAUGHT UP IN THE CIRCULATION AROUND HIGH PRESSURE CENTERED
OVER THE SOUTHERN PLAINS. WEAK DISTURBANCES AND DAYTIME HEATING WILL
TRIGGER SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS, MAINLY DURING THE AFTERNOON AND
EVENING HOURS INTO THE WEEKEND. SOME STORMS WILL PRODUCE LOCALLY
HEAVY RAIN. LOW PRESSURE PASSING TO OUR NORTH ON SATURDAY WILL SHIFT
THE UPPER LEVEL WINDS, WITH DRIER AIR PUSHING IN FROM THE WEST. A
DRYING TREND WILL RESULT FOR THE WEEKEND, WITH SHOWERS AND STORMS
GRADUALLY BECOMING CONFINED TO THE WESTERN COLORADO MOUNTAINS.
DAYTIME TEMPERATURES WILL ALSO WARM IN RESPONSE TO THE DRIER AIR.
