...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO
9 AM MDT SUNDAY ABOVE 9000 FEET...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GRAND JUNCTION HAS ISSUED A
WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY ABOVE 9000 FEET FOR SNOW...WHICH IS IN
EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO 9 AM MDT SUNDAY.

* LOCATIONS INCLUDE THE CITIES OF...TELLURIDE...SILVERTON...RICO.

* TIMING...SNOW SHOWERS ABOVE 10000 FEET LATE THIS AFTERNOON WILL
  LOWER TO BELOW 9000 FEET THIS EVENING. AS A RESULT SNOW WILL
  BEGIN TO ACCUMULATE ON MOUNTAIN PASSES LATE THIS EVENING.

* SNOW ACCUMULATION...2 TO 3 INCHES OVER MOUNTAIN PASSES...WITH
  HIGHER AMOUNTS OVER MOUNTAIN PEAKS.

* SNOW LEVEL...LOWERING TO 8500 FEET OVERNIGHT...WITH ACCUMULATING
  SNOW ABOVE 9000 FEET.

* WINDS...SOUTHWEST 5 TO 10 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 20 MPH.

* IMPACTS...ROADWAYS WILL BECOME SLUSHY AND SNOW COVERED LATE THIS
  EVENING AND OVERNIGHT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW AND/OR
BLOWING SNOW WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR
