...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1015 PM HST THIS EVENING FOR THE
ISLAND OF HAWAII IN HAWAII COUNTY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall.

* WHERE...The island of Hawaii in Hawaii County.

* WHEN...Until 1015 PM HST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in
  streams.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 708 PM HST, radar indicated heavy rain over the Puna
    district near Pahoa and Kapoho. Rain was falling at a rate of
    up to 2 inches per hour and is nearly stationary. Periods of
    moderate to heavy rain will likely continue over the next few
    hours.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Hawaiian Paradise Park, Hawaiian Acres, Pahoa, Orchidlands
    Estates, Volcano, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Eden Roc,
    Fern Acres, Kalapana, Fern Forest, Ainaloa, Leilani Estates,
    Nanawale Estates, Hawaiian Beaches, Isaac Hale Beach Park and
    Kapoho.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone
to flooding.

persists.
