...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN JACKSON AND EAST
CENTRAL DEKALB COUNTIES THROUGH 430 AM CDT...

At 350 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Section, or near Scottsboro, moving east at 50 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Scottsboro, Fort Payne, Rainsville, Henagar, Sylvania, Powell,
Section, Ider, Valley Head, and Hammondville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 AM CDT for northeastern
Alabama.
