...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR EASTERN COWLEY COUNTY IS
CANCELLED...

The severe thunderstorm which prompted the warning has moved out of
the warned area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for south central
and southeastern Kansas.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1015 PM CDT
FOR SOUTHERN ELK AND CHAUTAUQUA COUNTIES...

At 936 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Sedan, moving
northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
         homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Sedan, Howard, Cedar Vale, Moline, Longton, Grenola, Elk Falls,
Elgin, and Hale.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for south central
and southeastern Kansas.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
