...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana...
Illinois...
White River near Hazleton.
Wabash River from near Covington to Mount Carmel, except
for Clinton.
.Minor flooding continues along much of the Wabash River from near
Covington downstream to Mount Carmel, along with the extreme
southern part of the White River near and downstream of Petersburg.
River levels will steadily fall in the coming days with only light
precipitation amounts in the forecast. Flooding will come to an end
along much of the remaining areas of the White and Wabash rivers in
the next 12-24 hours, with flooding along the Wabash from
Hutsonville downstream ending by Wednesday.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Wabash River at Vincennes.
* WHEN...Until Tuesday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Considerable agricultural flooding extends
from just north of the junction of Illinois 33 with Business 50 to
the St. Francesville, Illinois area. River Road from Lincoln
Memorial Bridge to Billett Rd is impassable. Extensive seep water
forms behind Illinois levees extending from Russellville to U.S.
Highway 50. Flooding of agricultural land begins in Knox County
Indiana west of the railroad extending for the Oaktown area to the
north side of Vincennes. Extensive flooding of Small Creek.

* IMPACTS...At 22.0 feet, Flood waters begin to affect residents of
East Mt. Carmel, Indiana. Fifth Street that parallels river
closes. Twin restaurant along the river also closes. Several
local river roads flood.

feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours

* WHEN...Until late Tuesday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Most of the low bottomlands flood.
Flooding begins in higher bottomlands. High water affects any
residents in Pottsville river cabins. Pottsville Road...North C
Street on river side of railroad tracks and Catt Street near U.S.
Highway 41 are flooded. Water is near or starting on Giro Road in
the vicinity of submerged Pottsville Road. Oil stripped fields
flood. Flood gates must be installed at Hazleton.

levees.

* WHERE...Wabash River at Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site.
* WHEN...Until Wednesday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Leaverton Park in Palestine and park in
Hutsonville begin to flood. Agricultural flooding spreads to
higher land. Seep water is noticeable behind levees. Some
elevated river cottages are surrounded by water. Several county
or township roads east of Lincoln Heritage Trail between Palestine
and Hutsonville in Crawford County Illinois are impassable.

- Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage early
Wednesday morning to 11.6 feet early Saturday afternoon. It
will then rise to 11.8 feet Sunday, April 28. It will fall to
10.0 feet Wednesday, May 01 then rise again.

* IMPACTS...At 16.5 feet, Flood waters begin to enter the two breaks
in the Honey Creek Levee maintained by the Honey Creek Levee
Association. These two breaks occurred during the April 2013
flood.

feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours

to 10.7 feet Friday evening. It will then rise to 11.0 feet

Backyard flooding of cottages on right bank starts a short
distance upstream of gage. Critical stage of Young-Neal Levee is
reached.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:45 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 16.1 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 7:45 PM EDT Sunday was 16.3 feet.
- Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage late this
evening to 11.9 feet Thursday morning. It will then rise to
12.7 feet Friday evening. It will fall to 10.4 feet Monday,
April 29. It will then rise to 11.6 feet Wednesday, May 01.
It will fall again and remain below flood stage.

the right bank from the mouth of Sugar Creek to northern edge of
Montezuma begin to flood.

ending at 7:45 PM EDT Sunday was 15.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage early

rise to 10.3 feet early Saturday morning. It will fall to 8.5
feet Tuesday, April 30. It will then rise to 9.0 feet
