...2024 Spring Freeze/Frost Season To Begin Thursday, April 11...

Above normal temperatures since the winter season have once again
resulted in an early start to the growing season. As a result,
National Weather Service Baltimore/Washington will resume issuing
Freeze Watches and Warnings, and Frost Advisories starting
Thursday, April 11, 2024 for most of Maryland, north/central
Virginia, and the far eastern West Virginia Panhandle.

Starting April 11, freeze/frost products will be issued for those
areas from the Shenandoah Valley eastward, as well as for Hardy,
Hampshire, and Morgan Counties in West Virginia.

The growing season for the remaining Allegheny/mountain counties
of Garrett, Allegany, Grant, Pendleton, and Highland will begin in
very late April to May.
