The National Weather Service in Midland has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  South central Pecos County in southwestern Texas...
  North central Terrell County in southwestern Texas...

* Until 700 PM CDT.

* At 552 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 28 miles north of
  Sanderson, moving southeast at 10 mph.

  THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR HWY 285.

  HAZARD...Baseball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be severely injured.
           Expect shattered windows, extensive damage to roofs,
           siding, and vehicles.

* This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  south central Pecos and north central Terrell Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for southwestern
Texas.
