Coastal waters from Deerfield Beach to Ocean Reef FL out 20 NM... Coastal waters from Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach FL out 20 NM... Waters from Deerfield Beach to Ocean Reef FL from 20 to 60 NM excluding the territorial waters of Bahamas... Waters from Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach FL from 20 to 60 NM... * Until 830 PM EDT. * At 756 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts was located 27 nm east of Hillsboro Beach, or 27 nm east of Lighthouse Point, moving southeast at 35 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 40 knots. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. * The severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly open waters. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes. Move to safe harbor immediately as gusty winds and high waves are expected. Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts.
