...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN SULLIVAN AND
SOUTHWESTERN WASHINGTON COUNTIES AND THE CITY OF BRISTOL THROUGH 545
PM EDT...

At 521 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms over Bristol Va, moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Bristol Tn, Bristol Va, Abingdon, Walnut Hill, South Holston Dam,
Hilander Park, Benhams, Harr, and Blountville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in Morristown.
