The National Weather Service in Paducah has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Christian County in south central Kentucky...
  Todd County in south central Kentucky...
  Trigg County in western Kentucky...

* Until 200 AM CDT.

* At 819 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain. Portions of Will Jackson Road
  in Trigg County are washed out. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain
  have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1
  hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in
  the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Hopkinsville, Oak Grove, Cadiz, Elkton, Fort Campbell, Wranglers
  Campground, Energy Lake Campground, Golden Pond Visitors Center,
  Land Between The Lakes Area, Turkey Bay, Clarksville, Guthrie,
  Pembroke, Canton, Rockcastle, Trenton, Lafayette, Herndon, Linton
  and Allensville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
