...The National Weather Service in Paducah KY has issued a Flood
Warning for the following river in Illinois...Kentucky...

  Ohio River at Olmsted Lock and Dam.

.Recent heavy rainfall has caused water levels to rise on the lower
Ohio River. Waters are projected to rise above flood stage this
weekend at Olmsted to a crest in minor flood early next week.

For the Ohio River...including Olmsted Lock and Dam...Minor flooding
is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Ohio River at Olmsted Lock and Dam.

* WHEN...From Saturday morning to Friday, May 17.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 33.2 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    tomorrow morning to a crest of 38.5 feet Monday evening. It
    will then fall below flood stage Thursday evening.
  - Flood stage is 36.0 feet.
