...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CDT TODAY...

* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast Texas, including the following
  counties, northern Cherokee, northwestern Nacogdoches,
  southwestern Rusk and southeastern Smith.

* WHEN...Until noon CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is
  occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 855 AM CDT, trained weather spotters reported heavy rain
    in the advisory area due to thunderstorms. This will cause
    urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 3 inches of
    rain have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Tyler, Jacksonville, Whitehouse, Overton, Bullard, Troup, New
    London, Arp, Mixon, Mount Selman, Ponta, Turnertown, New
    Salem, Joinerville, Reese, Sacul, New Summerfield, Noonday,
    Cushing and New Chapel Hill.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
